Newbie with same AC issue

Just purchased my first Porsche a couple of weeks ago! I didn't notice any issues with the AC for the first week but over the last few days, I have experienced the same issues described by the other members. I just emailed the service manager about this and included the PDF of the fix suggested by Porsche.

I'll post the results when I have them.

BTW this Cayenne S is the finest vehicle I have owned and is a true pleasure to drive. I don't miss the 2010 BMW Z4 I traded-in for this.

I stopped by my local porsche dealer on my way home. They took the car in and fixed it within 10 minutes. If you live near your dealer give it a shot, I was pleasantly surprised!

Had the AC issue fixed as per the Porsche recommended update and it now CRANKS out the cold air. No more issues from my end.

Completed this fix last night, special thanks to j080808 for posting the DIY and the extra help- it took all 10 mins, max.

All I can say is wow- what a difference. I stopped using the Auto function in the Cayenne after almost exclusively using it in my previous two cars, just had the temp set to 66 and manually adjusted the fan. It was fine, I wasn't planning on taking it to the dealer for the fix, and just decided to try it myself given it's 100+ out here in Vegas. I figured no time is better than now to test it out. I'm really surprised by the difference, I had the Auto set to 72 today, as it was the most comfortable setting after slowly moving it up from 66, even after the car was out in the sun for an hour.

For those of you who have not had this fix completed, I highly recommend it, and it's a very easy DIY- coming from someone who normally pays someone else to do things.

Instead of detaching the vents and add felt, I wonder if simply blocking the sensor by sticking some insulating layer on it would have similar result.
