Running Board Retrofit - Pics

Thanks to SunCoast for the running boards and my dealer for the install, I now can get in my Pepper's 18-way seats without a step ladder.

Thanks Guys!

Some thoughts to consider.
  • These puppies are high. The footing surface sits higher than running boards on other vehicles I've been in, so getting in the vehicle is going to take more getting used to.
  • The shipping boxes are massive - about 18" longer than the boards themselves. I had to take them out of the box when I picked them up from the shipper. Best to get them delivered to your house, or pick them up in a larger vehicle. If you live near Calgary, South Centre told me they have one set in stock for a good price...
  • The underside of the running boards is a rock shield that integrates with the underbody of the Cayenne - in fact, a rock shield that is already there is removed. This is nice, as road grime won't be able to get to the footing surface and your pant legs should be safe.
  • The install called for 2.2 hrs of tech time plus an hour of computer time to tell the side impact system that the RB's are present. Install was $556 CDN all in. Apparently it was worth it. The tech had to remove the wheels and the wheel arches. I'm glad I didn't do this myself.

I'm surprise not many Cayenne have this feature added. It looks pretty good and helps me when washing the roof
