I had my order placed for a 2012 late november build and got a call today that Carrara has been pushed out till February now. At that point we will be close to the 2013's, so it'd be a tough choice to order a 2012.

Thanks for the info. When I placed my order a few months ago I was told it was a early January delivery for CW and I couldn't wait so went with sand white instead. I don't think I could have waited until February so glad my order is in.

 

avi8tir, is the new white Carrera White? My sales guy isn't sure which white it is.

 

It is just being called "White," which is strange... what is the paint code for Carrara?

 

Ok, I was able to look up my proforma from my GT3 order from a couple of years ago... next to Carrarra White it has "B4 Carrara White"

On my Cayenne proforma it has "OQ White"

Not sure if its actually Carrarra or not now....

 

Thx for looking that up. I wanted C-White for the Cayenne but sprung for the Sand White instead b/c it simply said "White" on the site. Worried that it is an Audi-esque white, which will make the Cayenne look like a big appliance barreling down the road.

If it really was Carrera White, I'd think twice because that is the perfect white.

BTW, are you the same av8tir that was dynoing your M5 at RPI after the Air Intake install and went with Dinan later?

 

I have Carrarra on my GT3 and its amazing... I've settled on Meteor Gray.

Yep, same guy. I live in Houston now.

 

Confirmed by my dealer today that the new white is Carrarra White. And I have cancelled my order and will wait for that.... hate to spend this much $$ and not get exactly what I want.

 

Thanks for confirming. Do you know if the Feb date is a slot allocation for your dealership? Or is it a Porsche production line situation?
