RS Spyder wheel problems?

So my Cayenne S is on order with the 20" RS Spyder wheels. Just wondering if anyone with these wheels have experienced problems from pot holes, etc to the wheels or tires. Just trying to decide on purchasing the tire insurance or not with these wheels.

Thanks,

1500 Miles and no problems so far. If it were my DD, I may have considered the insurance.

The streets of New York can be brutal especialy for cast wheels. . If you have the air suspension you should be ok though.

8,000 miles driving in the city everyday, and i've been fine with mine. Have PASM but not AS. Didn't get tire insurance.

10,000 mostly highway miles here with air suspension. No issues.

Have the RS Spyders as my snow wheels. Put 7,000 miles on them last Winter with no issues. I'm not a fan of wheel/tire warranties, just another profit center for the dealer, for the most part.

When i picked up my CT in Leipzig last April, part of the European delivery was a Porsche driver taking us through their off road course with a pool Cayenne
When i mentioned, why not take my Ct you just gave me the keys to?...
His reply was:"Do not even think about it with those 20's"...

Well, going off road on 20"s may be one thing, but driving in the snow is another

Car is awesome in the snow. I took that picture after making it up my unplowed driveway with about 18" on the ground.

With stock tires? I'm assuming all seasons came with your car and if so, which ones?

No, I ordered the car with 21" Turbo II wheels with summer tires. I found the RS Spyder wheels on ebay (new take-offs) and mounted Blizzak LM 25s, they were closing them out at the Tire Rack and have been excellent so far, even though they're not N0, i.e. Porsche approved.
