What is your PCM System Version?

I'm curious what version of PCM system software folks have in their 2011/2012 Cayennes. To identify yours, go to the PCM screen and

1. Select the "Info" button
2. Touch the "Option" tab
3. Touch the "System Version"

My 2011 Cayenne has version 2.4.

I suspect the 2012's will have a high version and maybe some 2011's. That then raises the question what's been add/fixed in the newer versions. Perhaps the often requested, by denied by Porsche, temperature/clock option. Or, a way to actually turn the %&$# radio OFF. If anyone knows a site to see the answers, or for that matter Cayenne TSBs it'd be great.

Since my Porsche dealer's answer to when/if they update the software was something close to "not in it's lifetime", I'm interested in what we're missing out one. (That goes for the Navigation maps as well. Guess they never build a new road in Germany).

Regards

Discovered a new option in the settings menu today. Previously, I set the "range" above the top line in the multi-function display (dash). I now have it set (for all screens) to the speed limit. Obviously the info is ported from the navigation (PCM) whether or not navigation is activated. Pretty handy. I think the 2011 version put the speed limit in the map on the MFD, but not positive. I am in a 2012 CS btw.

i have 2011 turbo and it has PCM 2.2. When I drove the 2012 loaners, I noticed:

1) the navigation will zoom in to the next turn on the map while the 2011 would not

2) the clock option on the 2012

wondering if PCM software can be updated.

Is Porsche obligated to upgrade previous PCM version to the latest when the car is still under warranty?

I can't imagine that would be the case since it's not defective, just annoying.

Wasn't it mentioned that when you pic up a Porsche for European Delivery that if you want Europe maps that they will charge $600 for them to flash in the maps then change them back to America before the car ships.

So, I can't imagine they would do it, maybe if you have a real good relationship with your dealer they might.

I don't mind paying Porsche for upgrading the PCM to the latest version. I don't know how the PCM/Navigation system is set up, in some other systems, when you update the Navi data base they may include updates of the software as well.
