Strange noise from CTT
Strange noise from CTT
So having a very strange symptom with my '11 turbo. Car drives and performs perfectly. When turning LEFT (and only left) when get to about a quarter turn or beyond, I get a whistling/air/bubbling type noise from the passenger side of the dash. This only happens above 20mph or so and when back to straight line, noise goes away. This happens every time turn left and the noise will maintain same level so long as turning.
Technician can hear it, but they can not diagnose a problem. We compared other new turbos and they do not do this.
Anyone here have anything similar?
The noise is fairly faint and with the radio on or windows open you do not notice. Its something that almost sounds like the AC coming on so I've just ignored it, but driving on a back windy road with the radio off, it became pretty apparent its 100% repeatable.
All suspension components checked out. Brakes all good. Just changed over to a winter set of tires/wheels so can rule that out.
Anyone with ideas?

Maybe there is a crack, hole, or fitting space that developed in the wheel well? Sounds like air s getting in possibly when the tire is turned at a particular angle. It can't hurt to get in there with a flashlight just to rule that out. Keep us updated. Good luck.
