My new Cayenne S

Hi All, I picked up my first Porsche yesterday for my wife, a 2012 Jet Black Mettalic with Stadard black interior. I didn't configure the car but it has everything I liked except for the Drive and Entry which we will miss as all of our cars have had that. It has the Premium package Plus, bose package, exterior black, voice control, tow, etc.

My personal car is a 2011 BMW F10 550i, and have had several M cars in the past which I have tracked. Anyhow, I thought I have outgrown the excitement involved in getting a new car but I feel like I am back in my M days where I have every detailing kit you could imagine. I dug up my microfiber towels to begin with yesterday and will be installing XPEL Ultimate clear bra tomorrow.

I have put 300 miles so far in 24 hours just driving around ad even woke up at 5:00 am on a Sunday morning just to drive more and take pictures. The Cayenne S is a dream to drive as it feels like a car. As my first Porsche, this is really a great experience as I feel like I am getting to defect and most likely getting the Panamera next year. The new M5 however still offer the best value for 560 hp but the Porsche is just different. The "smile per mile" on the Porsche is just awesome.

Anyway, I am still on the honeymoon period but I am already not liking PCM. Not that intuitive but maybe I just need to give it more time. It's only been 24 hours anyway.

I am sure I will be asking some questions as I get to know this Pepper more. I will be posting some photos later

Trust me this Porsche bug, as we like to call it, plants itself deep inside you over a short period. You will soon realize that Porsche is your new hobby/lifestyle. Before you know it, you will be considering a 911 too.
As the PCM goes, you will get used to it.
Enjoy your new truck.

I just sold my 2011 550iX M Sport and ordered a 2012 Cayenne S. so which do you like driving more? I just did not get enough feel from the BMW and got far too many bubbles in the 7 months that I had the car.

My current F10 550i is a POS because they changed the steering to electric, rather than hydraulic. I couldn't feel the road unlike the E60 550i that i had. Anyway, the cayenne, even if it is a truck that drives. like a car, is just something. In sport mode with air and sport PASM, I've thrown it around on my favorite on ramps/exit ramps and was quite surprised with the way it responded. I just said "wow". in normal mode, it was a little leaning too much. I could imagine how those cayenne's with PDCC and PTV would be so much better. I can't wait to return the 550i at the end of the lease and get a Panamera. I will however still test drive the M5 and give BMW one last chance

Same boat here, had a e60 530 and M5 and the new F10 was just not the same. After test driving a 911 I was hooked and it's really amazing to see how the Cayenne handles - https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ek-review.html

Enjoy it! Btw I am going to Spain on nov 3rd to test the new M5, will report back.

Awesome color! We've had two Cayennes of the same color, pretty grateful car to own, drive and modify!
