Voice control experiences?

I'm thinking about adding this option for a V6 cayenne mostly for navigation and phone usage. I've never had a car with this option and id like to know if this is really worth about $680 for it. I'm concerned that it is not that accurate or that it is not that easy to use. Mostly want it for my wife if it is really easy to use for navigation.

Thanks

It's a functional feature and if you've never had it it'll work you and you'll be glad you got it.
It's worth the $$$.

With that said I didn't get it because it wasn't as accurate as my SIRI, but still
ease of use is helpful. Get it.

Anyone find using the Nav manually inconvenient then?

Do you get voice controls automatically with either the Bose option or the PCM Nav?

Maybe you need a german accent for it to work correctly :-)

It works good, don't get me wrong, just not seamlessly.
Go try one out at a dealership to judge for yourself.

The manual input for nav is VERY easy and quick.

I wish I ordered on my incoming Cayenne. Being able to audibly dial a number is far safer than manual entry. Probably the only option I'm regretting not ordering.

Why waste the money on this option when you can use Siri on your iPhone.

You cannot use Siri without touch.
You only have to push one button....and it is not 100% accurate either.
It does work most of the time and is great for reminders and accessing numbers in your address book.

I have voice control, and love it for simple tasks (especially while driving, um, spiritedly). Phone, radio, track change, menu access all work well. I would say 95% of the time, even with me as a sometimes mumbler, I have accuracy.

Would definitely get it again. For those on the fence though, with the SportDesign steering wheel (I hate the MF wheel and prefer the paddles), the stalk to the bottom right of the steering column controls almost all the same features through the TFT screen.
