Leftover 2011 CTT - What kind of dicount should I be getting?
Leftover 2011 CTT - What kind of dicount should I be getting?
My wife's RR Sport SC is going back this week and we were looking at a 2011 CTT. MSRP around 124K. Right off the bat I got 10K off the car but would not commit to anything until I had a chance to research.
I will probably lease the car but the second we leave the car is already a year old....... so is asking for 15% off too much? Should I go higher?
I'm thinking of offering 105K........

Whats the worse they say, no?
If offer a very low number just to see where it falls.
15% sounds high especially since it hasn't been titled or driven, but no harm in trying.
I would think $15k is worth it, but shoot for the stars.
Which options does it have maybe I could give
More specific info if I knew how much in demand it is with the options it has.

10k off should be a given. I'd shoot for double or whatever your preference is, but who cares if it's a year old it's brand new to you. And between 2011 and 2012 there is no noticeable difference unless you opt for the painted extras.
Great optioned car IMHO. Go for it.

Thanks again. The only reason why I would care if it's a year old is b/c I don't keep cars that long and IF I wanted to trade in early it could make it more painful.....

Best they could do was invoice or 10% off the $125 MSRP. I have no interest in this number and would rather wait for a lightly pre-owned CTT with 5K miles (or so) around 100K or lower.
The pre-owned ones seem to be in the 105-110K range at the moment. The new (leftover) 2011 is the same to me as a lightly pre-owned one as the minute I drive off the lot it's a year old.....

Had a similar experience when shopping for a CTT 2 years ago.
It was widely known that a complete redesign was coming out within 6 months, but 10% was about as big a discount as I saw even on heavily optioned cars.
The Gray naturally goes with a Black or lighter brown tone interior so it's a bit of an odd duck on that account alone. I would hold out for a much better price unless the color combo has grown on you and it has the exact equipment that you want.
