I dont have XM or Navigation. Saw this on ebay and was wondering if it would work plug and play? The seller says it needs and "Antenna", but im not sure where to purchase that or how hard that would be to install. Any info would help!

When you order from SunCoast, they ask for your VIN. I'd be wary of reusing one coded to another vehicle... I have no first-hand knowledge though.

You are correct, when we order a new one we need the vin number to send to Porsche and have it coded.

I believe it is for the software license to be coded with your specific car. You might be able to get it to "work" in your car but as soon as you try to get nav, bluetooth or ipod connectivity you will be out of luck...

Talk about the value of this forum, eh? That likely just saved you quite a bit of quid! That said, I wouldn't be surprised if someone pops into this thread and tells you how it can be made to work with your car, but as others have noted, you have a bit of research to do first...

I would only buy through Suncoast !!! Great to deal with, prompt service, and absolute peace of mind.

They provide this level of service to me and I'm on the other side of the world so they are doing something right !!
