I'm kidding of course but I thought about doing it for a day or so. Anyway props to Ylincooper for the nice find on these pipe tips.

Are those the tips from EBAY? Is it the angle of the picture or is one of the tips higher than the other? I'm really tempted to go this route instead of going the PSE route for 3k+

Yeah same ones. I'm not a big DIY'er but I was able to do this pretty easily. With that said I did go back and adjust the right exhaust after I put the left one on to make it more even. Probably user error on my part but they are the same height out of the box.

Here is the updated picture let me know what you think.

How thin do you have to be to get into the E46 without dinging the p-car? LOL

Haha yeah its an older garage been thinking about tearing it down and building a bigger one but too much trouble. Let's just say I'm pretty careful getting in and out of the M3.

I traded some messages with Ylincooper and he said they were good so I went for it. When I got them in person they were nicer than I anticipated and actually larger than I expected but they fit perfectly. Also the overall quality is great...the quality was just as good as the OEM exhaust I took off.

Those look great!
I see you retro-fit them to a V8. Does anyone know if I could put these on a Diesel??
Cheers,
Adam

It would probably take you about a minute to go look under the car to see if it'll fit your diesel. My guess is that it would it's just clamps holding them together.

As soon as the new car is delivered, i'll do just that.

Any other Diesel owners had their exhaust tips replaced? Is the pipe-work different to the other models?

Ciao,
Adam
