any can't live without options?

First time poster, been lurking for a bit though -

I'm finalizing my order on an S this week - and want to make sure I'm not missing out on any details you have found exceptionally useful -

What was the "best" option you ordered; ie most satisfying, every time you look at, use or get in yours? Likewise, which do you wish you had, or could have done without?

Just trying to learn from the market -

thanks

Definitely upgrade the radio to at least Bose. If you enjoy music at all, you will be quite disappointed by the standard radio.

I also didn't take the time to consider suspension options. Now that I'm looking for aftermarket wheels, I find that most don't look right because the standard suspension is sprung high. This leaves a big gap between the top of wheel and wheel arch and looks funny against nice wheels.

If you REALLY care about music and the quality of it spring for the Burmester system. It is the best system I have every heard in a car - extremely sophisticated, elegant, accurate and just stunning.

The ventilated seats under promise but over deliver. The custom lighting, or whatever it called (the option that adds the little LED strips along the arm rest and other places is very satisfying. The option where you keep the key fob in your pocket is clearly a winner for me.

Navigation and Backup camera.

I had a chance to crank up a non-Bose system today and to tell you the truth, I'd rather use that $2160 on some other options.

The exterior high gloss black trim is nice with some colors, but not others. It's all personal preference.

That is some great direction and I appreciate it.

I am drawn to the burmester system, but not being able to hear it makes it a fairly pricey gamble. I have heard the Bose surround and would pay for the upgrade if it is noticeable.

There's a lot of "interior paint" options - exactly where does that occur? Does it play well w sood, or do you need another flat palate ie aluminum?

Ceramics, , 4 zone AC- due to rear seperate blower for hot days, full leather, burmester, interior comfort lighting, : visual/audio

In performance: PDCC, air suspension, and PTV

But in theory, if I wanted to save all pennies, I could get by with air suspension, and full leather if I had too. A basic v8 cayenne is a superior vehicle to other fully
Optioned brands.

You need to get PCM/NAVI in order to get a USB connection to connect your digital music player, by just upgrading to Bose or Burnmester will not get you an USB input.

With respect to roof options, I like my regular sunroof. The shade is retracted manually so there is no waiting for buttons. It's quick, easy, and kind of endearing. Reminds me of my brothers old 944.

i wish i got the Sport exhaust system you have no idea how sad i am for bailing in the option on the last day. I also think that paying money on a sound system isnt worth it the exhaust is way more importent as a music lover the standard is fine i admit coming from an LS460 mark levinson audio system i use to love turning the voulme to max it was amazing long story short get the exhaust is more importent than the sound system if u can get them both to it. pano roof is a must since u already get a stop watch no need for the compass. + even u dont smoke get the smokers package!!!

Alrajhi perfectly demonstrates the the subjectivity of this question.
I like the sound of the stock exhaust and would not pay a penny more for an upgrade , but always want the best sound system offered.

sure - the question is specifically ambiguous - I'm mostly interested in what really hit the mark from a group I probably have more in common with than not

Currently leaning toward the GTS in meteor; which has a number of options chosen for you

I will finalize the order next week - thanks for the input so far -
