European Delivery, touring

We're almost half way through our trip to Europe to pickup our Cayenne and drive it around. I put a blog up at: http://eurpor.blogspot.com but have so much to do, I'm mostly putting up pictures now to the links on Picasa.

Here are a couple near Andermatt, Switzerland, up and back from Gotthard Passhöhe (Pass).

I was just in Germany for a week. Saw zero Cayennes. Are they all going to China? Have you seen many?

Saw bunch coming off the assembly line, 450/day 3-shift days except Friday is 1 shift, including Panameras which seemed fewer. Saw very few Cayennes in Germany outside the factory area, but did see a few in Vienna parked on street. In about 1000 miles, saw only about 3 on the road. There are lots of underground garages which is probably where you would find them or in private residences.

Interesting the factory guide said the light goldish color went almost exclusively to China and there were many of that color on the assembly line. She said as roads improve in China, the see more proportions of Panameras to China but now it's mostly Cayennes.

My mother lives in Berlin,so I spent some time there during and after my driving courses in Leipzig
Cayennes everywhere..and quite a few Panameras too
..and was surprised when my mother told me"after having taken the factory tour, each time I see a Cayenne(which she says is very often too)I notice the different colors of calipers"
Also a friend who lives and works in Stuttgart..tells me that many wives and successful women drive Cayennes...

Indeed,wise move to pace yourself
I just remember my first open stretch of Autobahn
I stayed at the Fuerstenhof hotel, cause they have a nicer spa
There is a wine bistro in the hills of Stuttgart called"Route 66" you should check out
I would take a quick trip to Baden-Baden then up through the heart of the black forrest to this hotel I most highly recommend called the "Traube Tonbach"
http://http://www.traube-tonbach.de/
One last thing I would have, among my fav,is White Asparagus(Spargel)..and with some balck forrest ham on top.wowww
Enjoy and thanks again for all the wonderful pics

Will have to try them next trip. Maybe if my wife gets tired of her little BMW. We're in Luxembourg today, amazing city. Hotel Le Royal is great. Tomorrow Brussels. Despite a little rain, my car is wearing the marks of the trip so far:

Good use for Roof rails

Getting in car when it's parked too close to the canal which is necessary if you want to keep your right rear view mirror from being knocked off from the cars passing on a very narrow street in Amsterdam. Hold on so you don't fall in.

Note: Just to show how smart and targeted Google is, on the top of this page as I type is an ad entitled:
