color question
I have the blue and in certain lights it's kinda like the color in the photo. The blue is a color that plays trick with your eyes. Some of my friend who's only seen it at night swear I had a black Cayenne. In the daytime sometime it has a purplish hue to it. It all depends on the light...

Porsche photoshops and messes with their colors alot on their brochures and their configurator. Best to see it in person before picking. Even their "20 spider wheels are much more of a very dark gunmetal-type color than you see in their prints and config where it looks very silver. WYSI-NOT-WYG. Not until I saw a member's 'real' pic did I know what we were gonna get. The wife doesn't like darker wheels, so we (last minute) switched to another style.

The brown color option, umber metallic, looks very brown in the catalogues and on the web special but is more of a dusty, brown-grey in real life. Jet green is darker in the metal as well as the dark blue; they make it out to be a slightly darker aqua blue in the catalogues but it's really just navy on the actual car. The metallic sheen to these colors helps though - on the blue for instance, it looks like a rich, royal blue in direct sunlight and sinisterly pseudo-black at night, so it's a good alternative to traditional black if you're into that.
[I ordered my Cayenne S in dark blue and it's due to arrive within a week, so I'm anxious to see how it looks... and for the car itself, of course.]

Just got a 2011 Dark Blue CTT. Here are some photos from the dealer. It is much darker than the official photo. I would call it navy. In the sun, it does lighten up, but never looks that bright blue. In the dark it is almost blue/black. Beautiful color though.
