Fuel Gauge Sensor Error

After my last fill up, the PCM displayed a fuel gauge sensor error on the second startup. The fuel gauge would show 3/4 fuel left, and dropping slowly to 1/2, and back up to 3/4. After driving for another 30 miles, the message disappeared after another startup. Not sure if this is anything to be concerned about. Has anybody else seen this?

Was the tank quite empty when you refuelled? I seem to remember reading somewhere that this may lead to a miss reading which will self correct (?). Happened to me a couple of times on my old gen 2

it wasn't completely empty, the low fuel warning just came on not long before I fueled up.

I have not seen the error since (it's been almost a week). I guess it's nothing to be concerned of...

argh.. this just happened to me for the 2nd time, first time was more than a year ago, it appeared to fix itself, now it came back, happened back to back for the past 2 fuel up. Guess it's time to take it in

I saw it once after the recall for the PCM firmware.. haven't seen it since. Oh - it also gave a message like "Improbable values.."
