Negotiations ...

While most car dealers are pretty open to price negotiations and one can often end up near (i.e. +$1000) above invoice, what is your experience with Porsche dealers?

The local Las Vegas dealer's approach is 'you are lucky that you can get one at MSRP' and does not really negotiate (he does not seem to have to, literally no 911 on the lot and only two Cayennes).

Thanks for your feedback

I got my Cayenne S at 3.86% below MSRP + tints. Not nearly as good of a discount as I could get on an X5 but then again, I didn't want the last year of the X5

Our turbo had a msrp of just underv120k. I paid a fair deal under that. Almost 10% under msrp.

For Porsche, its usually msrp or percentage off MSRP, depending on the demand of the model. For BMW and Merc, usually invoice or hundreds over invoice, and more if rebates are available.

Unfortunately Ape is correct.
Even when there are multiple dealers in a city, they are not all that keen to lower prices.
Only thing I can figure is that they keep production down and Dealers don't sit on Cayennes long enough to lower the sales price.

When we were looking for our Cayenne, it was basically try to find the one with color/option you want, or wait 4 months. You're lucky if you can find one that matches your needs, any discount would be icing on the cake.

It's all about supply and demand. Here in SoCal Cayennes don't stay in dealer lots very long. But if your dealer has car sitting there for months, I'm sure the situation will be different.

By the way, it seems the hybrids aren't moving as fast as they wanted, so you can probably get better discounts on those.
