Hey does anyone know if you can swap out the clocks as plug and play? I have a 2013 Base Cayenne and want to swap out the clock with a 2012 Cayenne S. The upgrade will be to the clock with the stop watch and compass. The S model does not have a sport chrono package. So the only difference is the engine, v6 & v8. I feel that all is needed is a flash upgrade to the pcm from porsche to recognize the new clock hardware. But I called 5 Porsche dealers and they have no idea if it will work. Some are saying it can not be done. But that just does not make sense to me! If Iordered my car new and picked my upgrades ala cart they can do it?! So why can it not be done if I have the clock and just need a software upgrade. Has anyone done this before? I see people talking on forums about upgrading like it is just a plug and play thing. Will the PCM automatically recognize the change and give me iptions in the menu for the stopwatch feature and compass?? Thanks for anyone who knows the answer.

 

I had the same trouble before. I had to give it a fix.

 

You need turn on option "clock" in vehicle data list.
And reprogramm INSTUMEN CLUSTER. This will give you option turn on-off clock (or stopwach like a clock) from time setting menu in BC.
No need any PCM programming.

If you whant use stopwach like full feature sport chrono you need 958.044.900.35 and extra buttons,
or you can get all codes twice cheaper not from dealer.
