This past weekend we went to Porsche's world tour driving event in Fontana CA where they let us drive the 991/Panamera GTS/Boxsters on a road course and XCross course. One of the experience was the technology drive where they let you drive a Cayenne Hybrid/S and Panamera Hybrid/S back to back, so you can feel the difference (or lack of) between the two.

Suffice to say I was pleasantly surprised how much torque the Cayenne Hybrid had over the V8. It felt much peppier than the V8 off the line. Of course they intentionally made the course short so you can't explore the top end performance, where I'd think the V8 would shine. Too bad they didn't throw the diesel into the mix, that would have made it interesting.
