Tried to add this option on the Porsche USA Configurator site but the option is not listed...is this an error? If not does anyone know why this option is not offered on the Diesel?

 

Yeah, ticked me off too. Pretty sure it's because of the larger fuel tank in the diesel. The rear A/C hardware goes behind one of the cargo area side panels, meaning the tubes/hoses/wires have to somehow get from there to the center console. Given that the diesel tank is 4 gallons bigger than the gasoline, I'd say the larger tank blocks that path.
