From Panamera to Cayenne
From Panamera to Cayenne
My Panamera 4S lease is ending in couple of months and I am thinking about replacing it with a Cayenne S. I would appreciate if anyone who did the same let me know of their experience.
What do you think about my build?

I have both Cayenne GTS and a Panemera 4 (wife's).
The Panemera gets a lot more looks and compliments from strangers.
The cayenne is better on a road trip with a few people since the panemera doesn't really hold luggage very well. Both are excellent choices for tall people, good leg room in the back for both.
I really like the air suspension.
Since you are doing the sportier steering wheel that doesn't have radio, phone, and settings buttons you could consider voice control. The steering wheel you chose is a lot more attractive at the expense of driver conveniences.

+1, Since you are ordering the sport exhaust, air suspension, 21"s, SD steering wheel, with a GTS youll get a better deal as whole package.

You must remember he is dealing with "Canadian" prices which are at least 15%- 20% higher then "U.S" prices!! I priced a GTS when I was in Toronto and it came in at $122K....the same build was $102K at Suncoast Porsche in Florida
PSE is a waste of money in my opinion. its really only noticeable on cold starts when the cars started after left being sit like overnight. once the engine warms up and the idles drops, its barely louder than without. save ur money and buy a real aftermarket exhaust made for the cayenne. i would add pano roof as well and also black roof rails and exterior trims in black. as others said pdcc is a must have i somewhat disagree. the suv already drives nice and very sport sedan like, if its ur only fun car and u like to drive very hard get it, otherwise i thinks its overrated. dont get me wrong its a very nice to have and handles well with or without it for what it is, but itll never drive and can be thrown around like a true sports car. i dont care what magazine times say, the cayenne will never feel or deliver the excitement a gt3 or m3 type of car will give you.
LOL... im not talking straight line / fwy speed. i ride sport bikes too so cars dont really feel all that fast even when they are. my friends fully built 3.8L 1000awhp 996 turbo, thats a whole different story tho. its scary $hit in ur pants fast, id even put my money on that car vs. any stock 1000cc sport bike.

I have PSE on mine and it definitely makes a difference. I wonder why you say its barely louder. I drive an R35 with a very loud system and definitely appreciate the sound but its nice to have an on/off button when I want a little rumble.
Btw I pepper, I can destroy M3's in my 35 and so the cayenne to me is a slow family car regardless of all the options I have. Heck I even brake better with the Brembo's compared to my PCCB

In all seriousness, driving in Europe was fun
though I would have to agree that, especially after having owned a 997tts,the CT never did feel too fast
However, with the wittle mods I have since added...it has perked up nicely

PS:would love to see pics that 996

pepper, next time he brings the car out, ill take pics of it and post em. for being an older 996, it looks pretty bad a$$, full techart gt street kit, hres, brembo gt 15", gt3 seats, cage etc. one of my favorite 996s forsure, even without all the engine stuff.
