On my '13 Cayenne GTS, the horn makes a really weak honk when locking the car. It really sounds kind of pathetic. Anyone else notice this or find a fix?

 

How could you not notice?

Yes I hate it. I asked about it when I took delivery of my diesel and when they went to turn it off they were surprised to find they couldn't given they had just done it the day before for a 12.

I was just back at the dealer yesterday and asked about it and they still haven't gotten a software update that let's them turn it off.

 

My Pano GTS makes a nice bleep sound, and my GT3's make no sound. Those Germans can't figure out what they want!

 

I've noticed that the hybrid, diesel and S all have different lock sounds. Not sure what the GTS or Turbo sounds like. I find it interesting that they are not the same.

 

My '13 GTS doesn't do that, it locks normally with no horn sound. So I guess its something in your settings?

 

Mine makes a sound reminiscent of the old Plymouth RoadRunner.

In the UK ours don't make a sound when locking.

 

I knew I'd heard that sound before!..

I think my neighbors like it when I lock the doors after 10 pm that I'm not blasting them outta bed ...
