Nice work. How did you get the Porsche name after powder coating? Consider using Plastidip for the window and trunk trim. It's so easy and cheap to do.

Its vinyl, clearcoated with powdercoat over it. I have two full time jobs. One is a pilot for Delta Airlines, the other is a custom powdercoater, specializing in brake calipers, so doing these was a no brainer.

I have a bodyshop here locally that does a lot of work for me and vice versa, so we will probably go with paint, as they hook me up with really good pricing.

That looks awesome !! Very nice work, I think the window tint and the trim are a must. I would also consider some Clear Euro Side Markers. Make sure to take some pictures once you get the windows tinted and the trim done.

Let me get this straight. Powder coat in orange, apply vinyl sticker, and powder coat in clear? The vinyl sticker can withstand the heat of the clear powder coating?

yes it can. Some color logos on some color calipers cannot be clearcoated though. For instance, a silver logo would not have worked on these because the orange is so pigment rich, it would bleed through the vinyl and turn it orange also. Actually, the orange bled through the black a little even and its not truly dark black anymore, but its not real noticeable, unless you are looking for it.

If anyone is interested, you can see some of my other work in the gallery on my website, www.thepowdercoater.com
