I'm beginning to think that Porsche's are junk!

I bought my 2012 Cayenne S in August. It's been back to the dealer four times now. I've never had this much problem with Chevrolets!
1. High pitched whine at higher speeds. They replaced the transfer case.
2. Back for same problem, they could not replicate the problem. I still hear it.
3. Reduced engine power warning coming on constantly. They told me I put in bad gas. (wrong answer guys!)
4. Same problem. They replaced a computer that calibrates the knock sensors. Kept the car for two weeks.
5. Now check engine warning coming on constantly. I called the dealer and was told to check my gas cap, warning still coming on.

Does anyone know a good lemon law lawyer in Michigan???

I love my 2012 S. However, I am starting to have great concerns regarding reliablity.

Oxygen sensor fails and then dealer breaks an exhaust manifold stud (you have to drop the exhaust manifold to get to the OS). Three visits with one being a week.

Cam aduster sticking. This took a week and two visits.

Sunroof had to be taken apart and realigned; this took two visits. Now its making noice again.

Three visits to improve (not fix) a wind whistle in the drivers door window.

These are more problems than I've had on any car. My wife's Infiniti M37 is two years old and is like the day we took delivery and never had a single problem. Even my Maserati Quattroporte had far fewer issues.

Starting year number two with the car - need a carefree year

Which 'loaner cars' has your dealer allowed you to use?
I've had: 2013 Audi A7
2012 Panamera 4 (twice)
2013 Aud1 A4

I got an A4 when my CS was in, what a piece.

Totally, no power on the low end. All plastics internally. Never buy that junk

Heh. This is why my wife and I refer to them as "Over priced Crap Wagons". We hated my old VW and while we really want to like Audi's they are just tarted up VWs when you get down to it.

As far as Porsche quality goes, we bought her 01 996 C4 new and it is the main reason I got the P!g over the much cheaper X5d that I had been seriously looking at until she said "what about a Cayenne". It has had some issues, but nothing major in 65k and 12 years and our dealer has always gone above and beyond for us. Most impressively we have never heard "we couldn't reproduce it so there is nothing we can do" from them (and I used to get that from my Jag dealer all the time, so just cause it's high priced doesn't negate that crap). Our biggest issue with the C4 is a noise in the front end (has to be cold and air temp less than 32 and the noise occurs only when you back up to the right). They never could reproduce it (no idea how as it does it every time for us), but they replaced the entire front end mechanicals (suspension, diff, brakes, etc..) anyway.

Sadly while one would expect that high priced cars should be built better I find that is generally not the case (at least for the Euro brands). Porsches seem about average in my experience.

Talking about bad loaners though, my wife got stuck with some POS chevy for over a month that didn't even have a CD player one time when the 911 was in!

Several times a Panamera 4 but it was a stripper and not impressive. It lost a drag race against my wife in her M37.

Several times a Mercedes 350 (that dealer has a hertz counter in the building and the MB's come from there. What an unimpressive car.

If it's the Hertz rental - probably a C. I've rented one and they are bad. Absolutely zero power.
