Anyone here have a Cayenne V6 with sport design package
Go and test drive the TDi, you'll love it.
From my own experience and IMHO, The V6 needs to be revved to keep it going and lack of torque may be annoying to some, but its definetely a good option if you keep the price down so dont go crazy loading it or you will be at "S" levels very easely, SportDesign package would be out of the question but 21"s Turbo II are a must, you need at least 20"s in this car for an aggresive look, otherwise it looks bland.
The V8 sounds better and feels faster but lack of torque is notiaceable too. this is no rocket, my wifes BMW X3 3.5d is much faster from 00 - 160km/h than my 958 GTS.
For that reason I love the Cayenne Diesel, what a great package from Porsche, it feels very punchy and fast arround town with all that adictive low end torque. Perfect DD.
anyway, you cant go wrong with any Cayenne. Good luck.

I just looked at the website and I noticed that the price of the v6 tiptronic vs the diesel tiptronic is not that significant. It looks like the diesel already has the tiptronic standard. The thought of better low end torque sounds more enjoyable, especially coming from an S5 and R8, I will probably test drive both in a few days to find out. thanks again.
Gallion, how is the 991 carrera non S by the way. My friend was thinking about the carrera 4 non S PDK at some point. What do you think about its overall package? Nice collection by the way, would love to have a GTS!

Yeah 3,000 is still a lot of money for working people such as me. the more I think about it. I will probably drive the diesel first then the v6. If the v6 is enough I will get that instead. I could have that money go into pasm or aftermarket wheels.
Certainly and I had a similar budget to you. I was just referring to its cheapness for the power vs the cost of going to the S.
Honestly I would suggest you look at what you would lose for that $3k (assuming you don't adjust your budget) and decide if such loses would be acceptable to you under any circumstance. If not then I wouldn't suggest driving anything but the V6.
I'm vocal in my support of the V6 being a worthy motor, but if you drive another engine (especially back to back where the differences become more obvious) you run the risk of either sacrificing things you really want to get it or find yourself wishing for that little bit more down the road.
So look at your budget and drive the V6. If you're happy then don't let anyone tell you that your choice was wrong.
As stated previously I was happy with the V6s that I tested, but after testing a diesel (after my order had already locked actually) there is no way I could go back. That torque is just addictive

Hi
I need some help identifying the code for one of the pieces from the Sport Design Package that I would like to order it separately:
please - if you have any idea what code it would be - I would appreciate it a lot

I went with standard non up-charge 18" wheels as to have options down the road and instead added options like PASM/AS and others to enjoy everyday driving. I don't know if I will change wheels but the price on Porsche wheels are crazy I think. So far I know this: the ride is nice, I can rotate, Did not have to buy the wheel insurance (more $), not so worried about our bad roads around town, longer life span and don't have to go on a diet to pay for tires every 15000 mi.
There are other options available and if you're in the States the price is even lower than in Canada. I do not understand the deal with the wheels though and always had a question. If standard ones are free, and 21s are over 6000, why dont they include standard with the car anyways ?:P
