CTTS Driving Impressions

Just returned from a rather spirited 175 mile drive up through Conn.
The CTT is awesome..the S is awesome plus. The biggest immediate difference is the brakes. The PCCBS require very little pedal and the stopping power is not to be believed. No comparison to steelies on my CTT..and no brake dust to speak of. Yes $8400 is serious money but if it can work for you no disappointment .
The driving sensation is amazing that such a large car can be so quick and planted. It's breakin but there is a difference in the pull of the S . I was surprised at the immediate pull in 5th gear at low RPM. There is no substitute for torque and the added S torque can be felt.
Other than the sensual differences of the two tone interior and CF pieces, there is no difference from the turbo. I had PVT and PDCC on my turbo so I am used to the amazing handling capabilities, but now even more so with the added punch out of a curve. I had an early 2003-4 cayenne turbo and this car is simply in another league in virtually every aspect a car guy would notice.
I now have online services and a jukebox but haven't played with either yet.
I opted for the heated windshield and unlike what I have seen posted there is no waviness.
The Michelins are great..excellent tread design and even at 32 degrees this am we're nice and grippy on twistee s for a summer tire.
Sport chrono is kool and so far clock is still working.
Locking the car no longer beeps but produces an acoustic type double chirp that is not very loud. Don't know if this is new, and there are no driver settings available to change.
At the end of the day, the turbo S is an SUV that deserves supercarcstatus,.
It's that good

Drooling.............

Sounds amazing. My 13 CTT has the same acoustic type double chirp that is not very loud. I really like that.

The jukebox is cool and the only way to load music in to it is through the usb port.

I am really liking the live traffic indications on highways with the green and yellow lines which you might be seeing on your map if it is turned on.

Really glad you are liking the monster.

173 was a walk in the park, just ran out of road..and I guesstimate my CT is good for another 10mph

Amazing how well the Cayenne is able to put the power down
The stability and handling is unreal
My 2 major mods were the GIAC ecu flash and the IPD plenum/AP diverter valves..both added torque and a definite increased willingness to get going

Couldn't agree with you more! Love the LEDs inside and the CF trim is really smart in ours. We did 1000 km run and it went really well, had the mountain bikes on the rear.

Cheers,
