Cayenne PCM Base Stero Speaker Upgrade
Cayenne PCM Base Stero Speaker Upgrade
Thinking about throwing some Morel Virtus's in to replace the front speakers on my 2013. What's everyones thoughts? I assume i'll need a 3-way speaker, hence the Virtus 603's.
Worth doing the rears?

I would concur with slw23. Porsche has a history of upgraded systems not being worth the money (I know you guys like your BOSE and Burm. I said 'history') so I stayed with the base PCM system figuring I'd upgrade it myself down the road. It's far from the greatest system in the world, but I've found it to be decent enough that I have no urge to rebuild it (like I knew I was going to have to in the X5d that I was also looking at). I can identify some flat spots in it's curve and while it is good at masking it's lack of a sub, it's still quite capable on the low end.
Just make sure you turn the loudness function off. It was already on when I picked mine up and I was literally heading right to my sound guy when I found and disabled that option. Night and day difference in the sound quality (I've never heard a "loudness" function distort the sound so horribly...).
