Sunshade - Rear Side Windows

Anyone know what this part is? Came across is on Suncoast's site. I was upset that the Cayenne i'm getting didn't have the power sun shades in the rear, since i have a 6 month old at home, but this part could solve the problem. Anyone have these sunshades?

Sunshade - Rear Side Windows

Protects against direct sunlight and simultaneously provides privacy.
Four piece set: covers the rear left and right side doors, and the left and right rear side (triangular) windows. Fits all 2011 or newer Cayenne models.

Don't have them for the Cayenne (ordered it with the power shades for exactly the reason you mention), but we have that type of thing for the BMW.

In the case of the BMW it is the same type of mesh that is used in the Porsche power shade on a wireframe that is sized to fit perfectly in the window. Ours came with some clips that we were supposed to stick on, but we never put them on since it fits in so perfectly.

One upside to not having the power shades is that (assuming the fit is as good as the BMW) you'll be able to crack the window for your kid where I have to roll the shade all the way down before the window will open at all (what a stupid design).

Interesting. My 2013 CD came with rear side power shades. I spec'd it with the P+ package, but don't recall seeing side shades listed. As such, I assumed they were standard equipment.

thanks to this thread, i have just ordered these from suncoast. i didn't like the electric shade option because you cant open the window with the shades up. our back seat passengers like fresh air, but no so much direct sunlight! once they arrive and i try them out, i will post a review.

one tip if you order from suncoast, per the ups website, there is no difference in delivery time between "3 day select" and "standard ground", so pick standard ground and save a few bucks.

Mine came with the power shade option but after installing some good ceramic tints all around, I never found the need to use them.

It sure looks like an OEM part. Number is 958 044 000 06. Great service from suncoast, by the way.

Will do a review. Picking up the car Thursday morning and plan to put these on a few days after. The mounting system involves adhesives, so will want to check with the detail guy putting the nano protection on the leather what he thinks about the "reversibility" of the installation before sticking them on. The shades themselves look great- quality feel to them and of course the porsche logo tastefully applied on the lower rear corner. Will post pics after they are on.

We recently installed the similar factory version in one of our Cayman's, we're loving it:
