Help w/ my '13 - 2 Q's

So, i traded my '11 in for a '13. I do really like it. i have 2 minor issues and wanted to get everyone opinon before bringing it to the dealer:

1) Pano Roof - Absolutely love it but I do get that helicopter noise over around 50mph. Does this require adjustment or is this a function of the bigger roof? I remember on my '11 with normal moonroof, there were 2 option positions to prevent this.

2) Center Clock - very cool and nice looking opition but the ticking is so loud on my clock that i can hear it while driving. Pretty annoying when sitting in traffic. Is this normal?

Thanks guys!

That loud ticking is normal. I have it too.

Try to crack a window when the roof is open. Most likely just air movement.

And the clock, yes its loud. However, it will die very soon and there is an updated version to replace it.

Both of my 13 diesels had clocks, both were loud. Both died in less than 1000 miles. I never replaced either one, and the turbo has sport chrono.

Good luck

Mike

Some have mentioned that the screen could be slightly dirty causing poor air-flow ... vacuum screen??

Ticking clock drove me nuts. I had the dealer replace it with a sport chrono during the rash of dead clocks they were dealing with. The sport chrono still ticks, but it's not AS bad.

When the noise next occurs, reach up and confirm that the little air deflector deployed. You can't actually see it from seat level. As the roof peels back, the little device is supposed to flip up, then retract as the roof closes. Occasionally the little sucker doesn't wake up when it's supposed to. Alternatively, dirt/bugs/candy wrapper/etc could possibly have jammed in the mechanism to limit or prohibit operation.

A friend that moded the hell out of his Audi actually had an interesting suggestion for the clock "problem". At least for us Diesel owners we can't get the boost gauge in the MFD that the TT has. His thought was that it looks like a standard size that might let us replace the clock with a boost gauge instead.

I broke that trim panel the last time I took it off though so I think my wife would kick my *** if I poked around in there again any time soon

Weird, my clock isn't very loud. I can hear it but I have to listen for it.

As far as the pano roof, I usually close it just a tiny bit and that seems to help the buffeting.

Same here- I can hear it only if everything is off and quiet. It is a 2103 CTT.

Try a 22 hour trip (that should have been 13!) to FL without the radio (wife problem not car problem). You'll be really tired of it then

What was the most annoying about mine was about half the minute it ticked (loudly in my opinion) and the other half it was silent. The sport chrono isn't as loud, but it is consistent through the entire sweep which makes it easier to tune out.

Doesn't bother me one bit. I only hear it when the vehicle and audio system are off. I like the boost gauge idea though.
