Does anyone know why Canadian 2012 models did not come with the heat shield that is attached to the engine hood? My dealer couldn't tell me why.

Cause its so cold up there and they wanted to warm the place up?

No idea but I've seen other cars where some have the shield and others don't in the same market. No idea why the MFG would do that.

My Canadian 2011 Panamera 4 has hood heat shield but my 2013 Cayenne S does not have it. Perhaps more Canadian Cayenne owners can check theirs and report back.

I am curious too. My 2013 C6 does not have the engine hood insulation. Is this normal or just missing?

2013 Cayenne Diesel, no heat shield either. Tellya the truth, I don't even recall seeing it as a build-option. They must have great confidence in that paint job. That said, aftermarket heat shielding is inexpensive and reasonably simple to install.

Where can I find aftermarket heatshield for Cayenne? I have only seen it for Boxster or Cayman.

I'm talking about the generic cut-to-fit type. I've used it successfully on older vehicles to in expensively replace torn up OE liners. That's what I'm planning for my CD

it's interesting to the heat shield installed in this assembly line while most of our Cayenne don't have one.
