Thumbs up Ordered a '14 Cayenne Diesel

Finally done tweaking my order for a new '14 Cayenne Diesel,
Which will be my first Porsche . I originally placed the order July 2nd,
but since the first available allocation they had was for August, it has given me lots of time to keep adding options. Here's what I finally settled on, although my order doesn't lock for a week or so, so I guess I could tweak it.

Cayenne Diesel Dark Blue Metallic/Platinum Grey Full Leather
Premium Plus Pkg.
Bose Pkg.
Air Suspension
Trailer Hitch
Walnut Interior Pkg.
Walnut Heated Multifunction Steering Wheel
Panoramic Sunroof
Aluminum Roof Rails
Entry and Drive
PDLS Plus
Adaptive Cruise Control
Voice Control for PCM
Compass Display
Online Services
Insulated Privacy Glass
LED Rear Lights
LEd Comfort lighting
Escort 9500ci (Dealer installed)
Set of 18" Winter wheels

As of right now, I'm looking at delivery at the end of October, but
hopefully it comes sooner.

Congrats! I love the diesel and that's what we had planned on buying. The gts in the showroom was too hard to resist though....you will love the vehicle.

The hybrid is pretty nice, I reviewed one and really liked it. I have a diesel 335d, I can imagine the diesel Cayenne will be an awesome SUV.

Looks like my order locked as of this week, so we are making progress.
The waiting is killing me though

I'm driving a Cayenne diesel as a loaner. What a wonderful SUV. I've owned diesels, but I would never guess this is one. What power.

Registered the forum after reading this post as I'm looking to order a Diesel too.

the dealer is taking order for 2014 model already? wow

did they say if anything is changed for the '14 model? so looks like the build time is around 4 months

wondering when is a good time to go place the order.. end of the year?

From my discussions with various dealers, right now they are taking orders for an Oct build. I am finalizing my CTTS build and it won't arrive until early Dec.

I didn't really ask about the differences between '13 and '14 since the
none of the diesel models my dealer had in stock were configured close to
what I wanted, and I knew I was going to be doing a custom order. In my
research, typical build time is between 3-5 months. if the dealer doesn't
have available unlocked allocations for the current month when you order,
obviously the build time will take longer.
