I was speaking to one of the main men from the UK's HQ at a Macan launch the other night, over here in sunny England. He said the new 300hp diesel will definitely be coming out with the MY2015 towards the end of the year, but no date has been fixed yet.

I also gather the V8 diesel may (or may not) be dropped due to the new EU6 emission regulations that come into effect soon. VW have just announced they are to pull the diesel V8 from it's Touareg range, citing poor sales.

So no sign of the facelift at the Beijing motor show. Looks like just the Boxster and Cayman GTS.

Those who said either NY or Beijing or both are quiet now.

Will it now only be revealed last quarter 2014?

Well, so far doesn't look like a huge change, which is good for any of us with the 958.

I agree. Was going to buy next generation, but seems more of the same, like my current 958. Seems Porsche put all their efforts into the Macan. And will wait 3 or 4 years b4 a redesign of Cayenne.

I don't think that's something we've ever had to worry about with Porsche.

Well, I think the 955 is ugly as sin compared to the 958... maybe that's just me. I saw that as a huge design change.

No offense to 955 owners... but that's not the SUV for me... although I could live with the GTS version. Maybe I'm just biased.

I'm not sure many if anyone is going to be able to immediately tell the difference between my 958 and the new model when they're driving down the road... you can tell a 955 and 958 apart a mile away.

Does this show a new option for dealing with troublesome slow people? Cause it sure doesn't look like a useful tow eye
