no coding for 660 USD, and who knows can you update navi or add some other usefull features?!!

660= 60 camera+600 unlocker.

OE ctrl unit and handle with camera will cost less 660. 180 + 250 + connectors and wires 100 = 130$ for engeneer@dealer))
Need calibration tool and coding.

I was debating on that camera, but was afraid to pull the trigger. Any pics of it in action? I went OEM from the dealer & got hit in the head for $1600

180 is for the oe ctrl unit and 250 for the handle with camera? this is the price for a factory unit granted that they can code the pcm? my dealer/shop has no clue still. showed them this thread and they still don't know what to do. they are claiming its for pcm 2.1 only.

I did the install in about, hmm 2 hours.

I was also skeptical seeing as everyone said you have to get the car programed,
spoke to the seller and i tracked down the company who actually makes it and spoke to them,

They assured me 100% that it would work as is.
and it did.

You remove the head unit and unplug the main plug and remove the 2 fiber optic cables and plug them into the new harness and plug the old plug into the new harness as well.

Then you run a single power and ground wire to the fusebox. I had to get a fuse holder and plugged that in.

There a re a few places to run the cable i decided to run mine on the floor.

ran it all the way up the back pillar then out and into the trunk.

I found a ground bolt and back there and and connected up the camera.

It works perfectly. The only thing you don't get is the guidelines. but for 1/3 the price I am ok with it.

Mine worked right out of the box i did not need to hold the <> mute key combination to enable it.

There was no need to splice into any cabling at the back for reverse as the unit send the power when it needs it.

Only hiccup i had was that i thought it stopped working, turns out that if your parking brake is on and you put the car in reverse the camera won't go on.

You have to release your parking break.

I took some picture of the install and can probably do a better write up.

I bought one of those $12 plastic trim removal sets, which was amazing because panels will just pop off.

I did not have to drill or cut anything.

All in all i am very happy.

Oh for got to mention the camera is much higher quality than most of the backup cameras you buy. Line count that is.

At first i got the standard light socket camera but i also bought the trunk release one which i will swap over this weekend.

Maybe I can take some more pics then because thats really where you spend most of the time running the wire.

The hard part is fishing the wire through the rubber tubes for a clean waterproof install,

When i unclipped them from the body and sprayed some WD40 on the cable they just slid right through.

If you want to wait till the is weekend i will confirm 100% if the trunk release works as well as the license plate light version.

I’d drive to a major city (NYC) & check with a dealership there. Or even NJ. I’m sure they have a few. Pennsylvania seems to still be lagging in the back when it comes to certain things. I had a home in the poconos (Stroudsburg) for awhile, I feel your pain…

Sighting, I am also very interested on this aftermarket camera. Are you going to post a DIY? also can't wait to see your installation photos. Thanks for the info.

G A's instruction is very clear. I don't understand why the shop foreman still has no clue. they are pushing for me to take it to a outside stereo shop who does all of their installs using something like nav tv.
