I just bought this for $40 USD (accepted best offer) and it cleared the service interval reminder, and the oil reminder on my 2014 Diesel.. Ordered.. was delivered to my door from China in around 4 days!

I also bought one for my 2014 Diesel. Did you find any instructions on how to reset the oil reminder? I am doing an oil change this weekend and no user guide in the package on using the X 431 R to reset the oil reminder.

 

Plug it into the ODBII
Turn the ignition on
Choose the vehicle
First option is reset oil reminder
Put in todays date (ECU reminds you in X days to change oil)
Done :-)

I also reset the service reminder as well

Done for 3-4 days and all ok with the p!g ;-)

Got the oil changed, but the oil reset tool menu is in Chinese. I bought it from the same vender you did. Did you have to register it or do something to get it to display English?

 

I got it working now. My reset tool shipped with menu in Chinese and the seller has instructions on how to change to English on his ebay page. I changed it to English and it works fine. I reset the oil for another 5K miles.

 

I ordered the x 431 R and it reset the oil life on my 2011 CS. I had done the oil change in August, so I entered that date, but when it reset it still gave a full 365 days. Not sure how others are getting it to reset for less time or mileage (hammerdog, only 5K?), but overall I'm still happy with it.

 

I typed in the current date when I reset mine because I did the oil change on that date. After the reset, my next oil change showed due in 365 days or 5000 miles which is correct for a diesel cayenne.

I checked today and it indicates oil change due in 347 days or 4820 miles.

 

Ah, the 5000 is standard for the diesel - makes sense. Based on my experience today, I don't think it matters what date you type in, you get the standard time/distance for your model.

 

It worked on my 2015!

 

Does this X431 R reset the intermediate and major maintenance as well?

What about engaging/disengaging the electric parking brake?

 

It resets oil and major maintenance lights on the cayenne; nothing else.

 

As a data point, I have a 2015 Diesel and the durametric pro works fine for both Oil change and 20K service intervals.

 

i received the X-431R and i try to use it on my 2013 and i get the following:coding is changed.

Any help?
