H&r ets

I have one of these for my 958 and I have no instructions. Was told it's just a plug and play. BUT Wondering if anyone has instructions for install? Want to make sure before doing something that I should have done before install. Should it be in normal height? disconnect battery? etc.......

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've been searching like a mafo and can't believe I can't find any write ups or instructions of any kind? After a snack I'm searching some more. Unless it's just that easy there is no reason to even post up in it. Plug and Play hummmm. I'm going to be patient till I get or find some info.

Couldn't find anything online but an Audi install (which actually was helpful). So I went for it. Left it in normal mod, and ignition off. Super easy install, well only the actual hard unit, otherwise what a PITA. About 4 hrs jerking around till I got it to where it was drivable. After plugging in the easy plug and play unit, I shut the hatch and the entire truck air'd out and tucked the wheels. Started it up, all doors closed and it just barely moved up. I had to mess around with the adjustments screws to where I was about to just give it all up. I did get it to the 40mm drop from the normal height setting but it drove like a tuna boat. Forget about even trying to drive in low mod. Adjusted the screws, front and the one for front and rear. In and out, up and down, and driving it around. Finally got the drop the where it rides properly, BUTTTTTT I can not use load level, Once I switch to load level it drops down and then it just flashes and keeps trying to level out but since it's completely air'd out it eventually triggers a suspension malfunction and shuts the suspension down. It's like getting out of a car at this height.

Hopefully all my drama was because I didn't have proper instructions. But a 40mm drop from normal setting leaves something to be desired, and a 40mm drop from low level is just impossible to even drive. There is just not enough suspension stroke and its sitting on the bump stops. It would be nice to have something that one could adjust the settings to put the suspension to the exact height at each height setting. Thank goodness I didn't pay $2g's for this, even the couple hundred I paid I was starting to think I could have saved my $. But it all worked at with my amazing patience.

Time to shop and move on to other mods.

I lowered mine by the linkages, but I set mine around 2 fingers lower than factory setting at each level. all my modes still work. at low level I have a 2 finger gap from above the tire to the plastic arch and at loading there is zero gap. as you've found out, the lower you make the car the choppier/bouncier the ride becomes.

I had called H&R for some assistance and the directions. Was told to disconnect the battery but I didn't. I waited for about 20mins with the gate open and then did the install. Works perfect now. Even after playing with the adjustments. I can keep the height I want at speed now also. And the high settings haven't changed.

Load level is 29in from ground to fender. I have all the height measurements if any wants to compare. Or later I'll just post them later.

if you don't mind me asking, you said you got the ets cheap. where did you find it and how much did you get it for? I went the link route because I cant stomach or justify spending $2100 msrp (I know people got them for $1600) but even at that price, its ridiculous unless you like to just throw money away.
