CPO Cayenne GTS question
CPO Cayenne GTS question
Hey everyone,
I'm looking to get back into a Porsche and found a 2013 Carmine Red GTS with 8.5k miles that is pretty decked out. PAS, PCCB, PTV, PDCC, Burmeister, etc. with an MSRP over $138k and they're asking for $111k. My concern is that it looks like it may have been used by automotive journalists to write reviews during its short life (showroom finish and PCNA display vehicle are included on the options list) and the carfax history doesn't appear to exist prior to 8k miles, which also states that the vehicle was purchased at a Georgia auto auction at that time.
I spoke to the dealer and one person said it was sold new at the dealership and traded in and another person said it was likely purchased from PCNA at an internal auction.
Wanted to get your thoughts on any red flags or concerns.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Mike

I don't know, that sounds questionable to me about the history. I'm surprised an auctioned car is allowed to be CPO'd.
There was a guy (I think on RL) with a horror story about having a CPO on a vehicle that apparently never should have been allowed to have it. The last I heard it was a real mess and he was caught in the middle between the questionable dealer and PCNA. Definitely not a risk I'd want to take given the price tag.

If so, dealer got it at a very good price. $111k is way too high. Someone else may go for it, but I'd push the dealer hard: lots of profit built in.

Dealer won't budge off the price. Curious what you think a fair price might be.
