Ok lone voice here. White. Had a Black BMW. Pain in the back to keep it clean. What's the point of having a nice looking car when a sheen of dirt shows right away.

Had a Carrara White 987 (which Porsche now shows as optional?). Everyone admired it. Easiest car to keep clean. Since then, have tried to have a White car (specially those with metallic paint) as often as possible.

 

One thing to keep in mind is darker vehicle tend to be much hotter on the inside during those hot summer days regardless if you have a light interior.

 

This is very subjective, however the options of the black car are killers..
PCCB & CF.. The PCCB's are just a must have..no brake dust and unreal stopping power.
Plus less miles and warranty.. IMHO a no brainer..well worth the extra time it will take to keep the car clean.. And those yellow calipers look great in the Black wheels.

 

sorry, didn't want this to be a white vs black thing...

the objective to the question again is:"if you were to pick based strictly on pricing which one would be worth more?"

so if both cars were the same color (since i don't think either color devalues the car at all) which one would you pick.

update: the black is getting inspected tomorrow so if all goes well i'll post more info and pics!

 

I like the color white better on these cars... but my GTS is Black. Gotta go with options every time. The actual color of the car should be your last concern... besides when you're inside driving it, who cares what the outside looks like.

That being said however, I wouldn't consider the ceramic brakes as an added bonus... the truck really doesn't need them (are you going to track this thing a lot?) so IMO just take $8k off the black one's value. Not to mention you have to consider what future maint cost might be on those brakes. (I have no idea, none of my Porsches have ever had em)

I don't think you can really go wrong with either vehicle. As the owner of a black GTS, it's really not that bad and I get a ton of looks in this thing.

 

Done deal! Black should be here in a couple of weeks hopefully. IF anyone knows of a decent priced transporter (not a broker) please PM.

I just booked with inter city but there's a 30 day delay due to concourse event. Any other leads please let me know but I've called several enclosed carriers and getting the same answers....

 

I have have time. Just get me a plane ticket to San Diego and will drive it back for you.

All kidding aside, don't you have a friend or relative who is willing to go there, rent a U-haul and trailer, and get it back for you?
