Catless downpipe install

Hi Guys,

I'm wanting to do the cat less downpipe install on my 958 CTT. I haven't been able to find any post of anyone doing the install as I'm trying to find out how big of a pain in the xxx they are to install. If anyone has any experience can you give me some info, install tips, time, etc...

Thanks for the reply but that install was on secondary cats which I already installed and are not very difficult. I'm wanting some feedback on primary cats (downpipe) install. They appear to be very difficult to install from a quick glance under my car while on a lift. I'm guessing the motor mounts have to be taken loose and motor moved to get to top bolts but not sure. That's why I'm trying to get some feedback so I know how difficult of job it will be before I try and tackle it

Hi,

I once asked my CPO, and they were afraid of the amount of work. I don't remember the exact figure but from memory I would tell from 4 to 8 hours work.

Why ? because it's nearly like taking the engine off and putting it back as there is no space to work in the engine compartment.

As this is from memory, do not take it for word, and have another advice.
But I am also interested in the answer as I have GTS and looking at down primary and secondary cat replaced by hi flows 200 cells ones (cargraphic).

Cheers

That's exactly what I'm afraid of. I don't have any really good shops close to me so I will probably wait until I can get my CTT to a good shop.
