Hey guys,
Just picked up a 2011 Cayenne S CPO for the wifey.
She's in love with it.

Let the modding begin!

Goodies are already en route.

First project:

BBS RXII refinish.
Picked these up from a fellow member. The finish on the lips was pretty roached.
Currently in the process of stripping them and removing the oxidization.

21x10.5

Nice! The wheels will make such a huge difference. I'm not a "blackout" guy, but the chrome window trim and silver strip on tailgate gotta go!

When you plasti dip the badges do you just peel off the excess around the letters? Do you use a tool or do it by hand? Anymore info would be helpful.

Yes it's pretty simple.
If you can tell in the photo, I only masked within .5” of each letter. This is to prevent waste.
You have to make sure that you thoroughly coat the unmasked area as well.
This will give you a thick layer to peel off.
I would also advise that you go around the edge of each of the letters edges with an old credit card or toothpick.
Be sure to do this to the inside edges as well.
This will ensure there is enough of a gap between the letter and the trunk lid.
That gap is what makes this an easy task. It will allow the Plasti Dip to “break” around each of the letters and not become one piece. (if that makes sense)

When you go to peel, wait till everything is dry use a toothpick to start to peel the excess.

This is a great video to follow.

I use rubbing alcohol and Q-Tips to prep the area.

Hope this helps.

Drew
