Nice looking rig there!

I tow my 23' Yamaha Jet boat with the '16 CD diesel and love it. I usually get close to 20mpg when not dragging up and over mountain passes. The towing of the diesel is great.

Now if Porsche were to offer a credit on my diesel would I take it? I'd have to think about that one quite a bit as I'd likely upgrade to an S.

Those Yamaha jet boats are nice and very quick. I see them up in the lake in Maine.

I have an 09 232 Limited S. I bought it new in 2012 (thanks to the economy slowdown). It's been a great boat and I do all my own maintenance on it.

Here's a few pics of it one day after cleaning it up...

Funny how this thread turned into a boat thread! haha

My wife drives a '13 CD and the warranty deal seemed like a very nice gesture. We plan to keep it around for a while so that was definitely some good news for us; anything beyond that would just be gravy in all honesty...

Thanks on the pics. The boat is a lot of work but a lot of fun too.

I too plan to keep my CD for a long time so the extended warranty is a nice gesture. I would however, expect Porsche to do more than just a warranty. These cars are the most-expensive variant of those in diesel gate and as such I'd expect more as a token of sorry.

Regardless what the VW ceo said this week, VW lied about these cars (this is not a mis-interpretation of the rules) and they need to do something to regain our trust or some of us who chose to purchase this most-pricy variant will look elsewhere next time around.

yea there is a guy here on the lake lake that has one of those and its bad ***!!!! his is a built big block putting out 500+ hp!! I went for a ride in it and it made my tuned 15' FZS seem tame (my FZS do 0-60 in around 3 seconds) I think a lot of it was the noise though. he came by one night and we hit 80 in that thing.... my wife was not very happy with me on that one

Frustrated at the lack of answers from Porsche. Looks like we we pushed down the road in the VW settlement announced yesterday. Porsche should have gotten in front of this.

Yeah, the rumor for a while has been that most CDs will just need reprogramming while some of the older ones will need that plus a new catalytic converter.

Something tells me that if it were really that simple, then it would have already been done. It has been seven months since this was announced and with only two official notifications from Porsche on this, that doesn't sound like they're being very communicative.

Agreed. Unfortunately, my wife wants out of the brand. I would hate to do it.
