Yup, even the new Porsche Interface is not impressive.
But the new Capacitive Screen is much better than ours, faster and more accurate.

Any link to the android module and the video interface. $500 sounds reasonable.

How do you adjust the sound/ fade/ balance and so forth via the android screen?

They still sell them here: Porsche-Aliexpress-Lsailt.

The sound/fade/balance is still from the original head unit, press the "Car" button, it will switch out of the Android.

Thank you for the link. What steering controls work/ don't work with the new modules installed.

I'm getting convinced this is the way to go.

The android sound output will need the car AUX input, you will need an Stereo RCA to 3.5.mm stereo cable. Don't expect surround sound will work if you a audiophile. All the cables comes from the seller are marked, but only in chinese.

All the steering control works, but doesn't change track while in the Android mode. But will work again, once switch out, in the factory interface.
Volume roller, mute, mode, all works.

Please post a short video of switching between the Porsche interface and the Android interface.

Just curious, what are you plugging into the Video interface if you are using the Android module to watch youtube?

Sorry I sold the car already back in August. Can't really find another video for you.

But I kept the android module.
I have bought an ATSC 20$ Sylvannia tv box. It works! But only stationaary.
If you can find a ATSC-M module, you can hook that on, watch tv while driving (for passenger)

Make sure you pull the CBs (Fuse) of the headunit before you do anything with the headunit and grounding.
The car still feeds power even with car off for a good 15minutes.

When you take out the original headunit out, there are quite a few tabs and screw that you need to open. THey are quite tough, you need to be gentle but also strong finger to do this. Pry using a flat screw driver will work.
And there's two temper proof seal as well. (void factory warranty)

Just becareful when you hook the two new ribbon cable. they are quite fragile I found.

And, ground yourself before you do anything inside the headunit.

I've also succesful installing the backup camera, however, the car original came with a "Solder" on switch, I didn't had the patience to resoldering it.
I left the switch un-operable.

Too bad, I sold the car in August.
But I can provide tips when you guys gets the material.

The switch module has the front parking camera input, but I can't really find any good camera that is rock proof, it will look very ugly and non-oem.
I haven't seen any oem look on aliexpress or ebay before I sold the car.

If I'm streaming music via Bluetooth on the OEM Porsche interface, can I use the Android module for navigation with music at the same time?

Or will the music from my phone cut off?

Or can I stream music via Bluetooth from the Android module and have navigation going on at the same time?

It's so confusing.
