Active Recall on 2016 Cayennes
I have been eyeing a 2016 Cayenne eHybrid that is available at two norcal porsche dealers, configured just the way I want. Unfortunately, I cannot test drive or make a purchase because of a voluntary recall (Porsche being conservative) that went into effect on 3/18/2016. I have heard that a clip on one of the brake lines needs to be replaced, and it's a 5 minute job. However, it has been a week and the dealerships have not informed me of a timeline on when this would be resolved. Does anyone else have any more insight into when the fix will be made so the Cayennes can be released for sale? Also, given that this is Porsche's cash cow, I can't imagine this taking long to fix, but a week with no ETA (you would think they would've had a plan in place when telling all dealers to stop selling the 2016 cayennes) is disturbing.
