Minimum oil reached?

I parked on a relatively steep hill one night, and woke up next morning to find the "minimum oil level reached" warning. I got my oil changed about 7 months ago and have driven about 6,000 miles. The warning now comes on every time I start the car. Is it possible my car doesn't need oil, but rather a quick reset of the warning?

The oil level reading should've corrected itself the next time you drive it and park on level surface.

If you open the hood then close it, it will get the system to remeasure the oil level after you drive for awhile. If the warning comes back on after doing that you probably need some oil added.

I know this is a really old thread but I only just found it. I have owned my 2017 Hybrid S for 4 months. About three weeks ago I got an "oil level too high" warning on the dash! This was odd, as I had not added oil recently and had been checking via the digital readout with no problem. My first thought was that perhaps I had coolant leaking into the oil system somehow. So I popped the hood and found the little "dipstick plug" and removed it. I then inserted a vinyl tube into the orificee and sucked out about 4 fl oz of oil. The oil looked nice and clear. I shut the hood and started the engine and sure enough no warning on the dash anymore..... for a while. But subsequently it has recurred and of course each time I open and close the hood, it goes away... sometimes for several days... but then, up she pops again.
Anybody else have this issue?
