Cant really find a good topic where we have any actual data all together.
I have a 2015 Cayenne Turbo 958.2 4.8 250,000 km
Long story short - did full engine check up, changed timing chain, all good, decided to get more power and started to tune the car, what is done:
- Full high-flow exhaust: 100 cell primary, secondary bypass, muffler 1/2 straight piped
- Custom Intake Plenum + GT3 Throttle Body
- FVD Billeted Diverter Valves
- BMC Air Filter, Fresh spark plugs
- Michelin Latitude Sport 3 / 21 Turbo wheels
- 98 fuel
I do take care of my car, so its in perfect condition, maybe except Turbochargers - they had some minor cracks, however they dont seem to be bad - or its hard to say...
So the story begins here with the tune:
Tried 4 different maps, 3 of them from my local tuners, so on dyno the best result I had was 560hp, + sometimes boost deviation error (later I was said that its a tune soft fault, my car never had this errors on stock), my times were:
0-100 3,85 100-200 9.87 - measured with Dragy, can provide charts later
So... after that I went to FVD - and to be noted, the process is not over yet we do continue tuning and I dont know the result for today (will update topic once we try another file), but - with FVD tune which feels more proper and correct (local tuners said they cant do my car properly) - I still have EXACTLY the same 100-200 Times - 9.89, but the car feels much more powerful overall
went to check for vacuum leaks e.t.c - found a small one, fixed - still 9.89 100-200 doesnt change. I do all runs on the same road, same tyre pressure and +- same weather conditions (~+10c)
I dont understand - how can 4 different tuners and 4 different files - make the same result, what could be wrong?
Speaking of Turbochargers - I cant find A SINGLE VIDEO with Good Cayenne 958.2 turbo on stage... like literally nothing, from hundreds and thousands of videos i found with stage2 panameras 4.8 e.t.c - my turbo boost is exactly the same and is following:
- Sometimes in Comfort mode i see 1.2 bar. however when i do full throttle to measure 100-200 from 3rd gear - boost is followig, in sport plus it builds usually to 1.0 (sometimes 1.1 from different gear) then it slowly drops to 0.7/0.8 on ~6500rpm closer to gear change, then gear changes and it goes back to 1.0 then again 0.7/0.8 - gear change.
From acceleration times I compare to other (idk the owner) cayenne with less mods but 9.0 seconds 100-200, my car does 100-150 exactly the same, but after 160 - i lose 0.8 seconds
Can you guys share on your experience? And also what could be my problem? Stage 2 620+ hp CTT has to run 100-200 in 8.9 seconds, (x5m, gle63 and the rest of same gen do even low 8 like 8.1 e.t.c.) also I see a person in Dragy statistics with 2013 turbo s and 9.0 seconds as a proof - he has only downpipes and tune.
Do you have any photos of how this muffler is 1/2 straight piped? I am curious lol.
I have a 2011 958.1 Turbo, I am assuming we have essentially the same motor. I have a build thread ongoing albeit slowly over on Reenlist (see my sig). I've done many similar things as you i.e. diverter valves, secondary bypass. A few other things like massive air intake cones, a larger throttle body etc. It feels like a beast with my Protomotive tune. I have a nice water methanol injection kit in my garage just waiting for me to figure out a good installation. Then I need a solution for the y-pipe plenum (planning on the Fisher Motor Works).
Any pics of the custom intake plenum? Super curious. The GT3 throttle body... I think that's what I have too. Essentially the one off a Turbo S circa 2010. 82mm vs 76mm stock or whatever. But I'd like the Turbo S intake manifold to go with it... plus the correctly larger sized y-pipe plenum.
When you say 560hp, assuming crank. Let's use WHP. Can you post your dyno sheet? I'd love to see it.
The 4 different tuners/tunes you mentioned can make almost all the difference in the world!
What exactly constitutes "Stage 2" CTT? I'm interested!
Tell me where did you see the "w" ? My number is caluclated HP, not whp, in whp of course it was something around 450 which is 560-570 hp, dyno shows both numbers.. Also I did explain quite an issue and did not claim any power, and am asking for advice based on experience...
In regards of times I also wrote 0-100 and 100-200 times, 1/4 mile could be fine too..
It's so hard to find any good info on these cars and for some reason owners of tuned cars dont even know their actual car performance which is 0-200, 0-100, 100-200,1/4 mile. Which is typically checked with Dragy

Totally depends on the dyno used my brother. There's like 3 major different brands/methods and vary. It's good to use as a measuring device for gains and/or tunes. Were any of your tunes done while on the dyno or on the road? Were data-log sets recorded and analyzed by any of your tuners?
You're right there's not a lot of info on the 958.1 and .2 models super tuned up or anything. It's rare but there's a few of us over on Reenlist. I recommend coming over there as well and you might get more feedback you're looking for.
Can't wait to see photos of this custom intake y plenum you have!
I had a 2015 Tuned (Softronic) Turbo Cayenne with a few similar upgrades. It was a beast and I would have loved to have kept it, but the fuel just kept adding up. Mine was tuned to 93, but only have 91 here in Socal so I was advised to put "octane booster" every once in a while. Softronic claimed 675 HP/ 703 Torque.
