Just ordered a 2013 Cayenne V-6!!

First time poster, here are my specs:

-V6
-Jet Blk
-Bose audio package
-Convenience package
-Interior blk
-Tow hitch
-Panoramic roof
-roof rails blk/blk exterior package
-Servotronic
-8 speed auto
-19" Cayenne turbo wheels
-heated steering wheel
-Driver memory
-8 way power seats
-model deletion

I was considering park assist and light comfort package but not sure if it's all that crucial. Any thoughts?

I find it difficult to park/backup any of these midsize SUVs due to poor visibility. I guess it depends on your driving skills and the areas where you need to park, but I think the park assist is a good option to have.

I agree. In the test drive I noted the limited rear visibility, both out of the back window and the side mirrors. Park assist as a minimum was a must have for me.

i'll agree on the park assist...when i occasionally drive my wifes tourareg without it i always miss it. the rear camera is nice too if you ever tow things...looks right down onto the tow ball so you eliminate the back up, get out and check distance, back up a little more, check again, etc.

That's what I thought, I have a call to the dealer to see if I can still add it, thanks for the advice.

The park assist on the new Cayenne is particularly good. I can't say the same for the backup camera

backup camera works well. It's for the purpose of seeing objects, not playing 1080p blueray discs.

Our last Cayenne had convenience package and backup camera with drivers assist. That suited us very well. Only thing I missed was tow hitch.

Backup camera and bumper sensors are your best friend to keep from bumping into stuff. In CO you are going to also want a second set of tires with Winter rubber on them. I just sold my Cayenne and have a set of factory 19" rims with winter tires on them if you are interested.

What is "model deletion"?
Is that an option to NOT have the PORSCHE or Cayenne badge on the rear?

Is the badge delete an option?

thanks

Model deletion removes the word Cayenne and type of Cayenne. If you choose this, as I did on my CD, it only says Porsche along the back.

Yes, its one of the very, very few options that is no cost. And you couldn't delete PORSCHE a year ago when I ordered. Just the model, not the brand.

No diesel? To me the diesel in itself is an awesome driving experience. Couldn't order a Cayenne without it being a GTS or a Diesel

Nice options but....
For those options and price, you should order the V8 (eg GTS). Better resale and actually has some real performance as the Cayenne is already a hefty car and you need the V8 to move it.

Porsche Factory back in production today

I just ordered a new Cayenne as well:

white
luxor beige
manual
convenience pkg
tow hitch
light comfort
lca

I seriously considered a pano roof, but after some forum research decided to forgo potential annoyances and keep it nice and simple - replacing a 330i and a Tundra as a town & farm vehicle. It was the only SUV on the market with manual so the choice was easy.

Now to hunker down and wait...since there wasn't a manual this side of the Rockies to test drive, guess I'm in for a [hopefully good] surprise.
