Normally I can pretty much figure out the audio system on most cars in a matter of minutes of playing with it and/or reading the quick start owners manuals. But I have to admit the PCM system on my 06 CayenneS has got me perplexed.

Aside from not yet figuring out all that it can do, I've noticed a few odd issues that cannot be normal:

1) According to the manual, if you turn the audio system off prior to turning the ignition off, it is not supposed to turn on when you start the car again...it does. And when it does its not always on the same radio station that I had tuned in when I shut it off. And it says "traffic announcement" on the bottom of the screen.

2) In Tuner mode it will sometimes change radio stations on its own even though I am still well within signal range of the previous station.

3) While playing a CD, it will sometimes switch from CD mode to Tuner mode for no apparent reason.

4) The NAV screen: It will show all streets on the map screen, however only the interstates and a few major roads are labeled. I've tried zooming in for more detail thinking that the smaller streets would then be labled but this does not add any more detailed label info.

Are there reason for this madness, or is the system suffering a nervous breakdown?
