Coolant Pipes Leaking 2009
Coolant Pipes Leaking 2009
Guys, looking through my records. I had a coolant leak back in January 2009 and they replaced the coolant pipes for a total of $1,325 with part numbers:
948-106-049-07 Coolant Pipe, Low
948-106-059-05 Coolant Pipe, He
Not sure if the "He" was a typo or if its just their code for "High"
Either way is there any way to tell by the part number if I have the new updated aluminum pipes or if they put the plastic "again to fail" coolant pipes?

Okay so I am just trying to learn these cars so take this info with that.
They look like stock Porsche part numbers so I googled them. From what I see they are aluminum. but didn't Porsche go to a different set up for the pipes on the 2009?

yeah, I tried looking up the part numbers but not much shows up. One got a hit for the single larger aluminum pipe on the bottom position and the other top position shows up as the plastic pipes...

94810605905 has indeed superseded to 94810605906, however, even 94810605905 was an aluminum version of the triple upper coolant pipe. The pipes you have should be the ones shown below, so you will have the updated aluminum version.
