So, I've owned my 2016 Cayenne eHybrid for almost 2 months and today when starting the vehicle I received an alert that max oil level was exceeded. The thing is that I have not added any oil since owning this vehicle. Taking it to the dealership tomorrow am, but am wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like that.

 

I had the exact same issue on my 2015 SEH when I first got it. Dealership adjusted it and never saw it again.

Not sure why it would be overfilled in the first place and take some time to show up. It seemed part of the issue was when I was in reserve and stopped and it caused the oil level to read high. I could take the oil cap off for a few minutes and the error would go away. But as I said after the dealer removed some oil, the issue has disappeared.

 

Same result. The dealer removed some oil...said that the factory overfilled.
