Hi all I'm having a weird issue with my 04 CTT when I drive to work the fan run blowing air no Ac until 45min into my drive then it suddenly starts working blowing nice and cold leave the car at work return to the car and the Ac works perfectly from turning the key all the way home weird.

Any ideas checled the Ac charge and it's good.

 

That does seem odd. Does it do it in auto temp mode only? Have you tried it in manual mode where you control the temp and blower speed? If it's only doing it in auto mode I'd have to guess there's a sensor somewhere that is not getting the right temp or something. But I'd have no idea where or what to look at.

 

AC systems have a low pressure switch in them that when the refrigerant is low it disengages the compressor. I wonder if your low pressure switch is failing or has a loose connection?

 

Crazy, I have the same issue in my wife's Land Rover right now. I am going to try re-charging it this weekend. I hope mines not the compressor. Try charging it first.
