Need tips for modding 957 Cayenne S

Hey guys, I’ve been using my ‘09 Cayenne S for a year now, and it’s amazing. But now it’s time for a change, I want more power at least if I can push it 400+hp. I’ve searched the web and all I saw is: air filter, cat delete and tuning, but it can’t be over with tose mods, I feel like there’s more I can do. I hope someone can help me.

There is nothing off the shelf that will bring an appreciable amount of power. Get rid of it before you get scored cylinders and go buy a turbo.

the n/a motors don’t have much to do to them. The turbo cars don’t have much to do either. It’s just intake, tune, and exhaust. The car has 385 stock. My 09 s has all of the above and it’s decent power. My car dynod in st 305 with the above mods.

I've been looking into what makes a GTS have 400+ over the regular S at 385...So far all I can tell that is different is the intake...the tuning can't be that much different if it is getting the same gas mileage...and as cool as modded exhaust sounds, the hp gain per dollar spent seems really low...$1800 for exhaust that gives maybe 5hp increase, compared to (if done right) intakes that can add up to 15hp, for $4-700.

I've been trying to find out if the stock GTS intake will fit on an S, or how to build an intake that properly brings in "true" cold air from outside the engine compartment.

Does anyone have any info/experience with doing a proper intake upgrade? Most of the kits I've seen online look like they draw engine compartment air. I understand that the stock intakes actually connect to a duct bringing in outside air but haven't found a good diagram or drawing. Perhaps the shop manual for R&R on the GTS intake boxes might help?

Another question I am wondering about, does an open intake increase lower RPM torque? I am more interested in power gains that will help me pull a 5000lb windsail of a trailer as opposed to pushing the car from 100 to 130mph...

the difference between and GTS and S are not intakes, it’s in tuning. But it’s also accompanied with suspension settings, brakes, and appearance. That’s why tuned versions of both cars are the exact same amount of power.

I looked at EVO, and see the tuning for $995...with the appropriate increase in hp desired...so the next question is, how does this affect smog (CA) and fuel economy...and if these aren't affected then why doesn't Porsche just sell them with the "better" tuning? I know about the other changes to the GTS, and I have PDCC and the sport bumper lips and spoiler...

So what are the drawbacks to the tuning? there has to be a "cost" somewhere besides $$...
