I wish everyone is lovely this outstanding thanksgiving day. Has anyone been given an exact date of their MY19 Porsche Cayenne S delivery? The Porsche Cayenne S qualifies for the Section 179 Tax Deduction for 2018, however paperwork and delivery must be on and before December 31st, 2018. The 6-7 dealers I've spoken to all have possible unit arrivals on December 28th (Friday), cutting it extremely close for comfort. Wasn't sure if others were given different dates. Also I'm getting 5-7% off MSRP, anyone else doing better?

Early Jan 2019: Porsche Premier Dealer in our area has one 2019 S-model for demo. Custom built and ordered mine. Delivery time close to 3 months. 5-7% range for discount is realistic.

 

Original promise for March delivery became a May delivery...... Dealer shrugging his shoulders and after doing some googling found 2 possible reasons: emission control issues (new global standards after Audi scandal??) and change of production from Leipzig/Bratislava to 100% Bratislava. Anyhow the car has arrived, looks wonderful. Once the dealer fixes an annoying rattle inside the car, life with this Cayenne should be wonderful.
